ABOUT RJAV

The Restorative Justice Association of Virginia is a collaborative organization of practitioners, criminal justice professionals, mediators, victim advocates, offender advocates, and interested citizens dedicated to upholding the principles of restorative justice.

RJAV serves to keep Virginians informed of events, trainings, papers, research, people to contact on a particular issue, and work that is underway such as the legislative initiatives and RJ’s Best Practices.

The board, committees, and members are a dedicated team working on behalf of restorative justice and restorative practices in Virginia. We show up at meetings and speak on behalf of this paradigm shift. We send out information to legislators, make calls, travel to Richmond and anywhere we are able in order to stay current in this fast evolving field. We look for funding options and ask for them on behalf of its membership when we attend meetings.
